Welcome to the Official website of Eric Amadeo
Eric Amadeo bends the Americana-folk of acoustic rock with the outright party feel of a backyard barbeque, or a family gathering in the summer with a little New Orleans ‘everybody gets a shaker’ ideal, dancing right along with the music. Eric Amadeo has been performing music since his youth. Primarily a drummer and percussionist, he has also studied the guitar, bass, and harmonica, and anything else that isn't nailed down and sometimes things that are!!!! Eric has shared billing with national acts such as Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, Pat DiNizio of the Smithereens, and Anthony Krizan of the Spin Doctors and Amfibian, and has played venues such as CBGB’s, Rider University, and The Count Basie Theatre. He has lent his talents as a studio musician, producer, and collaborator with the American Repertory Ballet staff for stage and dance performance. Eric’s musical influences range from jazz and blues to folk, classical and ethnic studies. Born and raised in New Jersey, Eric enjoys the stages of New York City, New Jersey and on occasion even Massachusetts. Currently Eric is also the saxaphone player and percussionist for the experimental-rock (in the genre of They Might be Giants) band Logs in the Mainstream www.logsinthemainstream.com and and drummer for New Jersey's most sought after 80's cover band, Amehtyst. www.amethyst80s.com.
